Mountain West Football Standings: Boise State, TCU Still Perfect

The Mountain West race comes down to this week's Boise State-TCU game.

To absolutely no one's surprise, the Mountain West is coming down to the battle between Boise State and TCU, which takes place on Nov. 12. TCU improved to 4-0 in MWC play and held onto first place with a 31-20 win at Wyoming on Saturday. Wyoming's loss left TCU and Boise State as the only two teams still undefeated in conference play.

Boise State took care of UNLV on the road Saturday, improving to 3-0 in the MWC and 8-0 overall.

Air Force won a non-conference game against Army over the weekend, while the Colorado State Rams were idle. Both schools have work to do to become bowl eligible.

New Mexico is the lone MWC team to be mathematically eliminated from bowl consideration at this point, though UNLV figures to join them relatively soon. The full standings:

1.) TCU Horned Frogs (4-0 in MWC, 7-2 overall)
2.) Boise State Broncos (3-0, 8-0)
3.) Wyoming Cowboys (2-1, 5-3)
4.) San Diego State Aztecs (2-2, 5-3)
5.) Colorado State Rams (1-2, 3-5)
6.) UNLV Rebels (1-2, 2-6)
7.) Air Force Falcons (1-3, 5-4)
8.) New Mexico Lobos (0-4, 0-9)
