The Mountain West Conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday and Air Force Falcons quarterback Tim Jefferson and Colorado St. Rams running back Chris Nwoke are the co-offensive players of the week. The Falcons defeated the Rams, 45-21, on Saturday.
Jefferson was uncharacteristically a passing quarterback against the Rams, throwing three touchdown passes in the game. Nwoke destroyed the Falcons on the ground for 269 yards on 29 carries and found the end zone twice. His 269 yards are a conference game record.
Air Force linebacker Alex Means took home the Defensive Player of the Week award for his five tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles.
