Air Force quarterback Tim Jefferson appears to be on the road to starting against the UNLV Rebels on Saturday, but the team will have a better idea on his status by Friday, reports Frank Schwab of the Colorado Springs Gazette. On Wednesday, Jefferson participated in a non-contact practice, as he is still recovering from a concussion that sidelined him for a majority of the game against the Wyoming Cowboys last Saturday.
Like Denver Broncos head coach John Fox has said for his injured plays, Air Force head coach Troy Calhoun wants his players at 100 percent when they play in a game:
"Either you’re able to do everything at a high level or it’s a no go," Calhoun said.
Should Jefferson not play, Connor Dietz will draw the start. He completed just two of five pass attempts while leading the Falcons with 85 rushing yards on 18 carries.
