Tim Jefferson Injury: Air Force QB Leaves Game With Injury

After playing such an instrumental role in the comeback victory over Army last week, Air Force quarterback Tim Jefferson has suffered a potential concussion early in the matchup with Wyoming. According to Frank Schwab of the Colorado Springs Gazette, it doesn't appear the medical staff is taking any chances with Jefferson:

@GazetteAirForce: It appears AFA has taken Jefferson's helmet. Don't wanna jump the gun but could be a concussion that has ended his day. Could be.

Jefferson has been solid for the Falcons throughout the season, throwing for 1,129 yards and 8 TD's in nine games. He was particularly impressive against Army last week, throwing for 122 yards and rushing for 66 yards. Jefferson has been replaced by senior QB Connor Dietz. Dietz has only attempted 10 passes this season in a backup role, but did shoe his ability to run the ball in a win over New Mexico earlier this season, as he ran for 87 yards and a TD.
