The Air Force Falcons and the Wyoming Cowboys flipped their drives on the next series of possessions. After the Falcons failed to score on fourth down, the Cowboys took over on their one-yard line and advanced just eight yards. After a 34-yard punt by Wyoming, Air Force had the ball at Wyoming's 46-yard line and went on to score and take a 7-6 lead.
Connor Dietz came in for an injured Tim Jefferson by rushing for a 13-yard gain. The Falcons then ran six more rushing plays with Dietz, Mike DeWitt and Asher Clark carrying the rock. DeWitt found the end zone for a nine-yard touchdown run. Parker Herrington was, unlike Daniel Sullivan, able to convert on the extra point attempt.
The first quarter has ended and the Falcons enter the second quarter with a 7-6 lead.
