The latest BCS projections are out for Week 10 and while the teams might not change this week, the Boise St. Broncos appear to have gained the most this weekend by not even playing a game. Over at SBNation.com, the BCSGuru has his latest BCS projections and the Stanford Cardinal, after needing three overtime periods to defeat USC, move ahead of Boise State to No. 4 this week. Of course, last week it was doom and gloom for the Broncos since they were projected to fall behind Stanford and Clemson, which didn't happen.
But the Nov. 5 matchup between LSU and Alabama will decide how much closer the Broncos could be to a National Title game. The Oklahoma St. Cowboys will also need to lose a game, and so would Stanford (if they move ahead this week), if the Broncos want to jump to the title game. November is going to be a fun month for the top five teams in the country.
As the BCSGuru points out, the only obstacle on the field that could prevent the Broncos from going undefeated are the TCU Horned Frogs, a late November game. Last year, Nevada pulled off the late-season upset over the Broncos. Could TCU do that this year?
Here are the projected top 15 teams:
BCS Standings projections, Week 10: 1. LSU, 2. Alabama, 3. Oklahoma State, 4. Stanford, 5. Boise State, 6. Oklahoma, 7. Oregon, 8. Arkansas, 9. South Carolina, 10. Virginia Tech, 11. Nebraska, 12. Houston, 13. Michigan, 14. Kansas State, 15. Penn State.
