The Boise St. Broncos will have previously suspended defensive tackle Ricky Tjong-A-Tjoe back for Saturday's game against the Air Force Falcons. He was suspended for six-games due to eligibility concerns. Tjong-A-Tjoe was the third Amsterdam player who was suspended, along with defensive back Cedric Febis, who missed one game, and wide receiver Geraldo Boldewijn's four.
Not that Boise State needs another defender back in the lineup, but it does come at an opportune time. Boise State is going up the run-option attack, and the more defenders Boise has the better chance they will have at stopping or slowing down Air Force's run attack.
Here is the NCAA's explanation for the suspension:
"$13,600, received from"a host family, which included Boise State boosters, both prior and after enrolling at the university," the NCAA said. "These benefits included housing, meals, gifts, school supplies, travel, vacation, among other items."
Tjong-A-Tjoe is returning under the conditional that he will pay back that $13,600.
