College Football Rankings, Week 15: TCU Retains One First-Place Vote In USA Today Poll

In the week 15 USA Today poll, the Oregon Ducks kept their No. 1 ranking there, and Auburn stayed at No. 2. The No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs took one first-place vote this week. The rest of the top eight stayed the same, though Arkansas entered into a tie for eighth with Oklahoma, who defeated Nebraska for the Big 12 Championship. Nebraska fell three spots to No. 16.

Hawai’i was the only team to enter the top 25. What does that tell us about unranked Connecticut, who won the Big East with a victory over the USF Bulls? The Big East just isn’t a great conference, and hasn’t been since it lost Miami and Virginia Tech.

South Carolina took the biggest drop of the week, falling four spots to No. 20, after losing the SEC title game to Auburn.

The Air Force Falcons did not receive any votes this week.
