Now that predictions have been made, it is time to take a look at what the Las Vegas experts have set the game lines at.
New Mexico Bowl: BYU Cougars vs. UTEP Miners (ESPN 2 p.m. eastern)
Odds: BYU -11.5
The opening line had BYU at a 13.5 favorite, but since then the line moved a few points with people taking UTEP. To me this still seems high because the only teams that BYU has blown out have been really bad teams. Whenever they have faced a decent to good team they have either lost or won a close game.
Humanitarian Bowl: Northern Illinois Huskies vs. Fresno State Bulldogs (ESPN 5:30 p.m. eastern)
Odds: Northern Illinois -1
This game started with the Huskies as a 3.5 favorite, but the line fell to the current one point toward Northern Illinois. Most likely because Northern Illinois lost their head coach, Jerry Kill, to Minnesota and their new coach, Dave Doeren, is staying with Wisconsin for the Rose Bowl. That leaves linebackers coach Tom Matukewicz as the head coach for the bowl game. My advice on this game is to take Fresno State, because this game is essentially a pick'em and the bulldogs should win.
New Orleans Bowl: Troy Trojans vs. Ohio Bobcats (ESPN 9 p.m. eastern)
Odds: Troy - 2.5
This game also took a swing in points, the opening line had Ohio favored by one and now the line has moved over a field goal to the Troy side. People know Troy from the past few years of dominating the Sun Belt and scaring the heck out of some BCS teams. As for Ohio, they are heading to their second straight bowl game. With this line being close go with Ohio since they have the better record and it is only 2.5 and should be a good pick.
