No one was expecting Air Force to be great this season in basketball, but their non-conference schedule was full of winnable games against inferior opponents with a few non-division one schools mixed in Air Force had division III Colorado College Tigers on the schedule for an expected win, but the end result was a 70-67 overtime loss.
The most comparable loss of this magnitude by Air Force was in 1996 when Air Force lost to division II Regis, 69-48. This loss to a division III school has to be the worst loss of all time. This was not a game where Colorado College played out of their mind with gaudy stats.
Colorado College shot just 33 percent from the field, and then 27.6 percent in the second half. Air Force turned the ball over 16 times. Air Force's lack of size hurt them as Colorado College allowed 10 offensive rebounds for Colorado College.
↵Looks like Air Force basketball will be in for another long season.
