Week 12 College Football Picks: Air Force And Colorado State Wrapping Up Their Season

Time to make the weekly picks for this weeks Mountain West games. Air Force and Colorado State finish up their season this week with Air Force taking on UNLV this Thursday and is a heavy favorite while Colorado State takes on Wyoming for the Border War.

The big game for the Mountain West this week is when Utah travels to San Diego State to try to stop their skid and maintain their top 25 ranking. While BYU is looking to become bowl eligible when they take on New Mexico.

Air Force Falcons @ UNLV Rebels, Thursday 8 p.m. mst CBS College Sports

Line: Air Force -19

Prediction: Air Force 38 UNLV 13

Air Force is just the better team and it is not even close, and will run at will. UNLV is coming off of a big win over Wyoming where the Rebel offense was clicking, but unlike Wyoming the Falcons have a defense and will stop the UNLV offense.

Colorado State Rams @ Wyoming Cowboys, 12 p.m. mst The Mtn

Line: Pick'em

Prediction: Colorado State 27 Wyoming 24

The Rams have improved quite a bit after the first few games since quarterback Pete Thomas has become more experienced. Wyoming has the talent, but they have had a brutal schedule, a teammate died earlier this season or the humorous look is all due to the New Mexico Bowl curse.

New Mexico Lobos @ BYU Cougars 4 p.m. mst The Mtn

Line: BYU -29

Prediction: BYU 41 New Mexico 13

BYU just like Colorado State has improved tremendously as the season has progressed and has their offense clicking like the BYU offense should. New Mexico is just a bad team and has performed terrible on the road and there is no reason for that to improve this week, especially since BYU needs to win this game to become bowl eligible.

Utah Utes @ San Diego State Aztecs 8 p.m. mst The Mtn

Line: San Diego State -3

Prediction: Utah 34 San Diego State 30

Utah is in a free fall and facing a potent San Diego State will not make things easier. Utah's Jordan Wynn is struggling at the quarterback position and if he underperforms do not be surprised if Wynn gets pulled for backup Terrance Cain. San Diego State should be able to take advantage of Utah's suspect secondary with receivers DeMarco Sampson and Vincent Brown.
