College Football Rankings, Week 12: BCS Standings Remain The Same; Oregon, Auburn Maintain Destiny

The top 10 of the latest BCS standings remained unchanged this week, though the percentage points narrowed between some teams. It is a little surprising TCU remained the No. 3 team and Boise State the No. 4 team. Both the Coaches Poll and the Harris Poll saw Boise State move to No. 3, but the BCS standings saw fit to keep the two teams in the same position.

The gap between TCU and Boise State narrowed to three-hundredths of a percentage point (.0332 to be exact). However, if both teams win all their remaining games, it is possible the computer rankings gap could close and move Boise State ahead of TCU.

The computers favor Stanford (No. 6), who are eighth in both polls. And the Wisconsin Badgers are favored in the polls (No. 5), but only seventh in the BCS standings.

Outside of the top 10, Michigan State moved back one spot to No. 12 and Alabama moved to No. 11.

The top 10:

1. Oregon (10-0)
2. Auburn (11-0)
3. TCU (11-0)
4. Boise State (9-0)
5. LSU (9-1)
6. Stanford (9-1)
7. Wisconsin (9-1)
8. Nebraska (9-1)
9. Ohio State(9-1)
10. Oklahoma St. (9-1)
