Air Force Beats New Mexico With Backup Quarterback, 48-23

While the spread for this game was an absurd 31 points in favor of Air Force, they were able to defeat New Mexico by 25 points with backup quarterback Connor Dietz who replaced Tim Jefferson who was knocked out the game when he was tackled by two Lobo defenders. The injury was not known with the exception that Jefferson was holding a towel over his face with what seemed to be a bloody noise.

Prior to Jefferson being knocked out of the game late in the second quarter he lead the Falcons 10 a 14-7 lead. Connor Dietz came into lead the Falcons the rest of the way and threw for one touchdown and ran for another touchdown. Asher Clark and Nathan Walker led all players with 95 yards and each had a score. The total rushing yards for Air Force was 374 yards on 80 rushes with 11 different Falcons rushing the ball.

Air Force improved their record to 4-3 in Mountain West play and 7-4 overall.
