New Mexico was able to take advantage of an early Air Force fumble and score a touchdown. The Falcons fumbled the ball on a botched pitch on the Falcons 24 yard line. The Lobos then went down the field on four rushing plays to go ahead 7-0 on a two yard run by James Wright.
The next drive that Air Force had the ball they missed a field goal, and currently trail New Mexico 7-0.
