The Air Force Falcons recovered from a slow start against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions to dominate the second half and rally for a 65-49 victory. At halftime, the Falcons trailed 31-25, but capitalized on an 18-0 run in the second half to erase the deficit and build a lead of its own.
Senior guard Michael Lyons led the way for Air Force with 26 points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals. The second half belonged to the Falcons defense, though, as the Golden Lions managed only 18 points in the final 20 minutes. The Air Force defense forced a staggering 21 turnovers in the game, as every player on Arkansas Pine-Bluff finished with at least one turnover.
Lyons hit three-of-nine 3-point attempts and got to the free throw line 12 times, hitting nine free throws. The Falcons will look to make it back-to-back wins with a road trip to play UC Riverside.
