Wichita State vs. Air Force final score: Shockers edge Falcons, 72-69

Air Force dropped a tight game against Wichita State.

Michael Lyons missed a potential game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer, and Air Force lost to Wichita State, 72-69, at Clune Arena in Colorado Springs on Saturday.

Lyons finished with 12 points on 4 of 17 shooting for the Falcons (6-2). He was 2 of 8 from behind the three-point line, and he compiled five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Mike Fitzgerald had 18 points, three steals, two rebounds and an assist to lead Air Force, and Taylor Broekhuis chipped in 17 points, two rebounds, two assists and one block.

Carl Hall led all scorers, pouring in 21 points on 9 of 10 shooting for the Shockers (8-0). Hall added 10 rebounds, two assists and a steal. Cleanthony Early and Demetric Williams were the only other players to score in double-figures for WSU, totaling 12 and 10 points, respectively.
