The Air Force Falcons return home to Clune Arena to take on the Jackson State Tigers on Wednesday night in Colorado Springs.
The Falcons suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday by falling to the No. 23 Colorado Buffaloes, 89-74. Leading scorer Michael Lyons was on point for Air Force, scoring a team-high 20 points in the loss, but the Falcons couldn't keep Colorado from scoring. The Buffs poured in 48 points in the second half to put the game away.
Lyons averages 21.8 points per game, while center Taylor Broekhuis adds another 12.3 points per contest for the Falcons, who are now 5-1 on the season.
Jackson State is 0-3 on the year with losses to Baylor, Tulsa, and Texas Tech. The Tigers hail from the SWAC, where they finished second-to-last with a 7-24 record last season. Sophomore guard Kelsey Howard is Jackson State's best scorer, tallying 25 points in the Tigers' loss to Tulsa.
