The Air Force Falcons defeated the Montana State Bobcats, 86-72, in a non-conference matchup Wednesday night in Colorado Springs.
Led by a 29-point outburst by Michael Lyons, the Falcons ran away with the win using a strong second-half effort. Air Force outscored Montana State by 13 points in the second half after leading by just one at halftime. Lyons shot 11-15 from the field, including 3-4 from the three-point line.
Big man Taylor Broekhuis added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Todd Fletcher pitched in 10 points in the win. Nine different players scored for the Falcons, who moved to 5-0 on the season with the victory.
Montana State was led in scoring by Flavien Davis, who scored 17 points on 7-12 shooting. Xavier Blount and Antonio Biglow added 13 and 12 for the Bobcats from the Big Sky, who dropped to 1-2 with the loss.
Air Force will enjoy Thanksgiving weekend before heading to Boulder to take on the No. 23 Colorado Buffaloes on Sunday.
