Lucas Oil Stadium will become the epicenter of the football world when Feb. 20 rolls around. The NFL combine is set to begin in just a few weeks, and the list of college players invited to Indianapolis this year has finally been released.
The University of Colorado will be sending two players to the combine. David Bakhtiari and Nick Kasa will represent the Buffaloes later this month and hope to boost their draft stock on the Colts home field.
Bakhtiari declared for the draft earlier this month. The junior offensive tackle is currently ranked No. 17 from his position by Dan Kadar of Mocking the Draft. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound Bakhtiari was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team twice during his college tenure.
Kasa, a 6-foot-6, 260-pound tight end, may have more to prove when he takes the field. After playing defensive end throughout the majority of his first three years at Colorado, Kasa made the switch to tight end. He finished with 25 receptions for 391 yards and three touchdowns during his senior season. Still a raw player at his relatively new position, Kasa appears to possess the tools to develop nicely with some coaching at the next level.
Hopefully these two future pros can make Colorado fans somewhat forget about the 1-10 season they were forced to endure in 2012.
