Now that the second quarter is just about over, it's time to get excited(?) about the halftime entertainment during Super Bowl 47. Keep your TV on CBS or don't leave your computer or tablet as you watch the CBSSports.com live stream of the halftime show.
This year's act will feature Beyoncé as the lead act, but she will also be reuniting with her former group, Destiny's Child, during the performance. There's also a decent chance that her husband Jay-Z will perform with her at some point. Did you make a bet on that already?
Will this year's performance be better than in the last few years? The 2011 Super Bowl halftime act was likely the nadir for the event, bottoming out with the Black Eyed Peas and guest appearances by Slash and Usher doing ... well, terrible, terrible things.
Things improved slightly in 2012 with Madonna as the headliner, while M.I.A., Nicki Minaj, Cee-Lo Green and LMFAO all made appearances. The performance lasted for 30 minutes, which was a bit too long. That halftime show's rating beat the actual game's overall rating.
Didn't music die in 1993 or thereabout?
