Broncos fans are now looking forward to April's NFL Draft, where Denver holds the No. 28 pick in the first round. SB Nation's new mock draft is hot of the press, so we have a Broncos pick to analyze.
In a collaborative effort, Dan Kadar and I dissected the first round. Kadar handled the evens, and has the Broncos selecting Ohio State defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins. Here is Kadar's explanation.
Three of Denver's defensive tackles (including both starters) are unrestricted free agents. The Broncos may not bring all of them back, less so because of money and more so to infuse talent up front. Hankins can be used in a variety of ways up front, capable of playing nose, shooting gaps or even lining up at end.
