The Colorado Buffaloes were unable to recover from Friday's controversial ending at Arizona, as Arizona State sent the Buffs to their second straight loss on Sunday night. The Sun Devils' Carrick Felix had 20 points and the Buffaloes had a poor second half in a 65-56 loss.
After leading 33-30 at halftime the Buffaloes struggled to get their offense going. The Sun Devils dominated the second half by outscoring Colorado 35-23 over the final 20 minutes. For most of the second half Colorado was held under 10 points before a late surge brought them within six.
Spencer Dinwiddie led the Buffaloes with 19 points, but Colorado shot a dismal 2 of 19 from long range. Andre Robinson also had 13 rebounds, while Askia Booker added 13 points. The poor shooting was not limited to three-point range for Colorado. The Buffaloes were only 24 of 68 from the field and from the 9:53 mark of the second half until the 2:37 mark ASU outscored the Buffs 11-0 to pull away from a 44-43 lead.
