Boise, ID native Graham DeLaet had a monster first round at Crooked Stick, shooting a 64 on the first 18 holes. That score was good enough to push him into a four way tie for first place with an eight-under score, along with Webb Simpson, Bo Van Pelt and Rory McIlroy.
Colorado State graduate Martin Laird is currently tied for 29th place with a three-under score.
Tournament favorite Tiger Woods is only a stroke out of first place, tied with Vijay Singh with a seven-under score.
