First round play is underway at the BMW Championship at Crooked Stick, and Bo Van Pelt has jumped out to an early lead with a 6-under through 11 holes. Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods are tied for second at 5-under after 10 holes of play.
Boise resident Graham DeLaet is currently at locked in a six-way tie for third place with a 4-under through eight holes. The 30-year-old is ranked No. 60 on the FedExCup points list, and is looking to bounce back after missing the cut in last week's Deutsche Bank Championship.
Colorado State alumnus Martin Laird, is at 1-under through his first five holes. Laird also missed the cut at last week's Deutsche Bank Championship and saw his standing in the FedExCup points list fall from No. 40 to No. 50.
