U.S. Women's Soccers Vs. Australia Final Score: U.S. Tops Australia, 6-2

The U.S. Women's national soccer team sent Pia Sundhage's riding into the sunset as the storied coach called it a career with the United States following Wednesday night's topping of Australia by the score of 6-2. The U.S. is now 21-0-2 against Australia.

Despite the 6-2 score, it wasn't until the second half the United States came back. In fact, Australia maintained a lead and controlled the game for much of the first half. However, an Alex Morgan goal with time running out in the first half sent the U.S. into the locker room with momentum.

They rode their momentum out, too, scoring four goals in the second half while Hope Solo did not allow a single shot of Australia's to find the net not allowing a single one to find their net.

It was the second straight game between the two teams and the United States took both, outscoring Australia 8-3 in the two games combined. As aforementioned, Sundhage will be stepping down as coach of the U.S. women's national team to take over Sweden Women's national team.
