Storied coach Pia Sundhage will finish her career with the U.S. Women's National Team on Wednesday as the team continues its victory tour across the country in Commerce City, Colo. It will play against Australia at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, home of the Colorado Rapids, against Australia in its second straight game against the Aussies on the victory tour. The U.S. won the first leg, 2-1, as Alex Morgan scored a goal and drew a penalty to lead the ladies to a victory.
Sundhage announced on Sept. 1 that she would be stepping down as coach of the U.S. to take over the Sweden Women’s National Team, prior to its hosting the Women’s European Championships next summer.
The game will be at 8 p.m. MT Dick's Sporting Goods Park. It will be televised on ESPN2.
