Utah State Vs. Wisconsin Final Score: Badgers Battle Back For 16-14 Victory Over Aggies

With 11 seconds left in the game, the Utah State Aggies failed to convert a 37-yard field goal attempt into three points and lost to the Wisconsin Badgers, 16-14. The Badgers played the first half as though they were still up against the Oregon St. Beavers, whom they lost to last week, 10-7, before battling back in the third quarter.

With 7:06 left in the third quarter, Wisconsin's Kenzel Doe returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown. Just four minutes later, running back Montee Ball, who finished the game with 144 rushing yards, found the end zone on a 17-yard run. A 16-14 lead in hand, Wisconsin bent at times over the remaining minutes of the game but held strong in the end and prevented Utah State kicker Josh Thompson from making the field goal.

Utah State held a 14-3 halftime lead on the strength of two Chuckie Keeton touchdown passes. He connected with running back Kerwynn Williams for a 39-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and with Matt Austin for an 11-yard score in the second quarter.

Keeton finished the game with 19 completions on 35 attempts. Williams was the leading receiver with 78 yards while Keeton led in rushing with 76 yards.

Utah State (2-1) visits the Colorado St. Rams next week. Wisconsin (2-1) hosts the UTEP Miners next Saturday.
