The Division II No. 23 Colorado School of Mines Orediggers have had very little problem rolling out to a 3-0 victory with their latest victory coming on Saturday against Black Hills State, 42-19.
After allowing a touchdown early to fall in to a 7-0 hole, it was all Orediggers after that, as they scored 21 unanswered points before half. While Black Hills State again scored to begin the half, another 21-point run for Colorado School of Mines put the game far out of reach.
Orediggers quarterback Matt Brown led the offense with a ridiculous 63 passing attempts, of which he completed 37 for 407 yards passing, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Cody Renken was on the receiving end of one of the three touchdown passes and finished the game with 14 receptions and 163 yards receiving.
Through three weeks, CSOM has outscored its opponents 170-42 and will next travel to face New Mexico Highlands on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. CT.
