Colorado Rockies prospects Kyle Parker and Will Swanner have been named as Baseball America Minor League All-Stars, earning a selection to the website's second team honors.
C Will Swanner, at just 20 years old, has become the top catching prospect for the Rockies and is currently hitting .301 with a .915 OPS in 88 games in the Single-A South Atlantic League. He was drafted in Round 15 of the 2010 draft out of La Costa Canyon High School in California, with fears that he was headed to college dropping him significantly in the draft.
Kyle Parker, a 22-year old outfielder with the Modesto Nuts of the California League, is hitting .308 with a .976 OPS, with 23 home runs and 73 RBIs in 102 games. He was drafted in the first round of the 2010 MLB Draft, No. 26 overall, and turned pro after playing at Clemson University.
The Colorado Rockies currently have one of the worst records in baseball and will likely have a top three pick in the 2013 draft.
