London 2012 Olympics: Nick Symmonds Sets New Personal Record, Finishes 5th

Nick Symmonds of Boise, ID, may have run the best 800 meters of his life, but David Rudisha of Kenya ran the best 800 meters of history, finishing with a 1:40.91 mark and a new world record.

Symmonds ultimately came in fifth, behind fellow American Duane Solomon by just 0.13 seconds. Here is a look at the standings from the men's 800m finals:
