The Denver Nuggets' current situation in the Dwight Howard trade rumors is that they would receive the Philadelphia 76ers' Andre Iguodala and lose Arron Afflalo to the Magic and Al Harrington to the Lakers. But what else could be moving the Nuggets into these trade talks? According to the Denver Post's Benjamin Hochman, the $13 million trade exception the team landed in the deal with the Washington Wizards has made the Nuggets and "enticing partner."
Hochman believes the team's starting lineup would be Ty Lawson at point, Iguodala at shooting guard, Danilo Gallinari at small forward, Kenneth Faried at power forward and JaVale McGee at center. While Iguodala averaged fewer points than Afflalo, 15.2 to 12.4, this A.I. averaged 6.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 2012. It's a definite improvement over Afflalo, who is not well known for either category.
As these Dwight Howard rumors over the summer have taught us anything -- as well as the Carmelo Anthony trade rumors from 2010-11 -- there's probably another deal waiting to be had with the Magic and the Lakers and other teams.
