Olympic Games 2012 Daily Preview: Nick Symmonds Races For A Medal In Men's 800m Final

Nick Symmonds will race for gold on Thursday. The Boise native is one of nine men competing the final of the 800 meter race in London during the 2012 Summer Olympics. Symmonds will line up in lane eight as one of two Americans in the field, alongside Duane Solomon. Kenya's David Rudisha will be in lane four. He is the world record holder, clocking a time of 1:41:01 during an August 2010 race in Italy.

Denver native David Herman will also be in the spotlight in London on Thursday. Herman will compete in heat three during the quarterfinals of men's BMX. The 24-year old Herman is one of three Americans in the field, joining Nic Long and Connor Fields.
