Team USA is set to take on Australia on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the men's basketball tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Australia features a pair of players two spent their college years hooping at local Metro State University.
Mark Worthington, who has appeared in every game for Australia during the tournament, played at Metro State from 2001-2005. He led the team to a Division II national championship in 2002. David Barlow played for the Roadrunners during the 2002-2003 season before deciding to play professionally.
The Americans are undefeated in the tournament and will be heavily favorite. Team USA is led by LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant.
