Becky Hammon and Russia will take on Turkey in Tuesday's quarterfinals in women's basketball. Hammon grew up in the United States and starred for the Colorado State Rams in college. The 35-year old became a naturalized Russian citizen in 2008 and has played for the country during the Olympics since then.

Hammon led Colorado State to a 33-3 record and an apparance in the Sweet 16 during her senior season in 1999. Hammon was a three-time WAC player of the year at CSU. Her No. 25 is retired at the school.
The matchup between Russia and Turkey is one of three in women's basketball on the day. In other actoin, the American women will face Canada.
