FCS Top 25 Preseason Poll: Montana, Montana State Appear In Top 10

Montana and Montana State appear in the top 10 of the College Sporting News' Preseason Top 25 Poll.

The College Sporting News has released its Football Championship Subdivision has released its preseason top 25 poll and the Montana State Bobcats and the Montana Grizzlies are in the top 10, the former at No. 4 and the latter at No. 10. Montana State lost in the quarterfinals of the 2011 FCS Playoffs to the Sam Houston State Bearkats, 49-13. The Bearkats then went on to defeat Montana in the semifinals, 31-28.

Sam Houston State lost to the North Dakota State Bison in the title game. Entering the 2012 season, the Bison are the preseason No. 1 team and followed by the Bearkats at No. 2.

Montana and Montana State are both members of the Big Sky Conference and the only teams from there to appear in this preseason poll.
