After trailing the U.S. for the past couple of days, China regained the overall medal count lead at the London Olympic Games on Sunday. China now has 61 total medals after Day 9, while also leading the gold medal count with 30.
The Americans are right behind them with 60 total medals and 28 gold. On Sunday, the U.S. claimed six medals, three of them gold, one of which included Sandra Richards-Ross in the 400-meter dash.
