Southern Utah Vs. Utah State Final Score: Aggies Roll To 34-3 Victory

The Utah State Aggies cruised to a 34-3 victory over the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Thursday night. Quarterback Chuckie Keeton and running back Joe Hill combined for five touchdowns.

In the first quarter, Keeton threw touchdown passes of 48 yards and 35 yards for the early 14-0 lead. Hill went on to rush for a 27-yard touchdown with 50 seconds left in the quarter. He added a 19-yard score in the third quarter and a 33-yard run in the fourth quarter for the other touchdowns.

Keeton finished the game 22-of-26 for 304 yards with two touchdown passes and an interception. Hill came up with 116 rushing yards on 11 carries while Kerwynn Williams found 63 yards on the ground. Matt Austin caught five passes for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Southern Utah put up just 209 yards of total offense to Utah State's 581. Colton Cook connected on a 22-yard field goal in the second quarter to prevent the shutout. Quarterback Brad Sorensen completed 12-of-31 passes for 153 yards and an interception.

Utah State faces Utah on Sept. 7 while Southern Utah goes on the road to play Cal on Sept. 8.
