2012 U.S. Amateur Championship: Michael Schoolcraft Loses In 19 Holes To Zack Munroe

Denver's Michael Schoolcraft lost in 19 holes to Zack Munroe at the 2012 U.S. Amateur Championship, which is taking placing at Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills Village, Colo. Schoolcraft has been eliminated from the Field of 64 match play.

Schoolcraft had been two-up on Munroe after 13 holes, but he lost two out of the remaining five holes, allowing the match to be all square after the 17th hole. After both made bogey on the 18th hole, the two golfers made their way over to the first tee to play for a sudden-death victory.

Unfortunately for Schoolcraft, a soon-to-be junior at Oklahoma, used six strokes to complete the hole. Munroe needed just five on the par-4 hole. Munroe, a golfer at North Carolina-Chapel Hill, has advanced to the Round of 32 and will face Todd White on Thursday.
