One of the first things fantasy football players thought of when Peyton Manning signed with Denver was the boon it would likely provide to the team's wide receivers, namely incumbent starters Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker.
Mile High Report seems to think Decker might be a better option for fantasy purposes this season, seeing him as a better target for a drop-back quarterback than Thomas, projecting 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns for Decker, and 900 yard with six scores for Thomas. Thomas has the better pedigree and gained a lot of attention for his big play to help the Tebow-led Broncos eliminate the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, but Decker's more-precise route running could very well make him a more favorable Manning target.
The site also looks at potential sleepers following the Broncos' Week 1 preseason game against the Chicago Bears, including wide receiver Matthew WIllis. Safe to say more than two receivers will benefit from having Manning around.
FakeTeams.com has a full fantasy preview for the Denver Broncos. The site had rated Thomas as high as 12th on its WR rankings and Decker at 26th, but that could change when the two are seen on the field with Manning more throughout the preseason.
