The players at the top of the leaderboard at the 2012 PGA Championship don't tee off until later in the afternoon, but two players have surged in the standings and are in solid positioning right now. Steve Stricker and David Lynn are shooting a 4-under 68 through 10 and nine holes, respectively, leaving them at 1-under for the tournament. The 30-spot jump has them just three strokes behind co-leaders Carl Pettersson, Vijay Singh and Tiger Woods.
Also making a big leap on the leaderboard is Justin Rose. He is also shooting a 4-under for the round, but he is at even-par for the tournament. Colorado State alumnus Martin Laird has just begun his round. He made birdie on Hole No. 2, moving him to even-par for the tournament.
