After winning their first series of the second half against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Colorado Rockies continue their west coast road trip on Friday by starting a series against the NL West division-leading San Francisco Giants.

The Rockies will send 22-year-old starter Tyler Chatwood (1-2, 6.61) to the mound in the series opener. Chatwood was called up from AA due to injury and made a start against the Giants earlier this week, allowing 1 earned run on two hits, though three runs ended up scoring due to the four walks allowed. With Jhoulys Chacin making one last rehab start, Chatwood is very likely to find himself back in the minors after this start.

The Giants will counter with veteran Tim Lincecum (6-11, 5.43), who is scuffling through his worst professional season. The two-time Cy Young Award winner has found his footing lately, allowing two or fewer runs in three of his four last starts.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:15pm MT. This game will be broadcast on ROOT Sports and 850 KOA
