British Open 2012 Odds: Tiger Woods Favorite To Win, Martin Laird At 66/1

Tiger Woods hasn't won a major championship since 2008, but as he is before nearly every major, Woods is favored by oddsmakers to take home the 2012 British Open title. Bovada currently tabs Woods as an 8/1 favorite despite his poor recent track record at the Open Championship; in the last five years Woods has missed the tournament twice, missed the cut once and finished tied for 12th place and tied for 23rd place.

Woods is trailed by Luke Donald and Lee Westwood, who are tabbed with 14/1 chances of claiming the Claret Jug. 2011 Open Championship winner Louis Oosthuizen is being given 35/1 odds, while 2011 champ Darren Clarke is a longshot at 125/1. Martin Laird is in the middle of the pack at 66/1.

Here are the top 10 most likely winners per Bovada:

  • Tiger Woods, 8/1
  • Luke Donald, 14/1
  • Lee Westwood, 14/1
  • Rory McIlroy, 16/1
  • Padraig Harrington, 18/1
  • Francesco Molinari, 30/1
  • Graeme McDowell, 30/1
  • Justin Rose, 30/1
  • Martin Kaymer, 33/1
  • Phil Mickelson, 33/1
