The 2012 British Open gets underway this Thursday as golfers from around the world compete for the Claret Jug. Of particular note to Colorado golf fans will be the entrants David Duval -- a resident of Cherry Hills Village, CO -- and Colorado State grad Martin Laird.
Duval, son of Bob Duval, was at one time a young rising star in the golf world, but has struggling to separate himself in recent years. Laird, meanwhile, is a 31-year-old Scotsman on the rise, having won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2011.
