Stage 13 of the 2012 Tour de France saw an exciting sprint finish that ended with Andre Greipel beating out Peter Sagan by a matter of inches. Alexandre Vinokourov and Michael Albasini had led the race until the final 10 kilometers or so, but eventually the peloton caught up with them. Luis Leon Sanchez made an attack to pull ahead of the lead group with about 2.5 kilometers to go, but eventually race leader Bradley Wiggins emerged out in front.

Still, Greipel, Sagan and Hagen were the three riders in the lead down the final meters and Greipel edged out a victory.

In the race leads, Wiggins still leads the general classification by +2:05, Peter Sagan holds the points lead (296 points) and Tejay Van Garderen is the race's best young rider.
