The Stanford Cardinal (No. 1 seed from Stanford Regional) and the Florida St. Seminoles (No. 1 seed from Tallahassee Regional) have moved their Saturday game to Sunday after the rains had other plans for the second game of the Tallahassee Super Regional.
According to the Stanford official website, the Cardinal will start LHP Brett Mooneyham, opposing RHP Mike Compton. Mooneyham enters the game with a 4.26 ERA and a 7-5 record, and he will have a significant task overcoming Compton. The FSU hurler recently earned the honorable distinction as a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American. He currently owns an 11-2 record with a 2.78 ERA.
FSU won the opening game of the Tallahassee Super Regional in a 17-1 drubbing in which Seminoles pitcher and fellow Freshman All-American Brandon Leibrandt held the Cardinal to 1 run through 6 innings.
