The LSU Tigers and the Stony Brook Seawolves will resume Game 1 of their 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament Super Regional contest on Saturday morning after rain suspended the game on Friday afternoon. The Tigers and the Seawolves are knotted at 4-4 at the start of the 12th inning. Stony Brook had been close to ending the game in the ninth, 10th and 11th innings, but the Tigers kept coming back with home runs in each bottom half of those innings.
Game 1 will start at 9:05 a.m. MT on Saturday and can be seen on ESPN2. Fifty minutes after Game 1 ends, Game 2 will take place and will also be viewable on ESPN2.
UPDATE: The difference will now be 35 minutes between games.
This contest will pit LSU's Kevin Gausman (11-2, 2.72 ERA 128 K), a Colorado native and No. 4 overall draft pick, against Stony Brook's Tyler Johnson (11-1, 2.13 ERA, 47 K). Should either team win both games on Saturday, a trip to the College World Series in Omaha will be secured.
