Fourth round play in the 2012 French Open continued Monday, and on the men's side, things are generally progressing as anticipated. No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic and No. 3 seed Roger Federer advanced to the quarterfinals on Sunday; No. 2 Rafael Nadal and No. 4 Andy Murray advanced to the quarters with wins on Monday.

Nadal breezed by No. 13 Juan Monico, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0. Murray defeated No. 17 Richard Gasquet in four sets.
Over on the women's side, No. 2 seed Maria Sharapova defeated Klara Zakopalova in three sets to punch her ticket into the quarterfinals.
