The Baton Rouge, La., regional of the 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament could come to an end on Sunday evening if the No. 7 national seed and regional host LSU Tigers win their third game in this portion of the bracket. But they won't know which team they will face until just a few hours before first pitch.
After Kevin Gausman threw eight innings of one-run ball against the Oregon St. Beavers on Saturday night, LSU will wait to face either the Beavers or the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks again in this tournament. The Tigers opened postseason play with a victory over the Warhawks on Friday night.
La.-Monroe and Oregon State take the diamond at 12:30 p.m. MT and can be viewed on Comcast SportsNet Northwest or CSS/CST.
LSU and the winner of the earlier game will take the field at Alex Box Stadium at 5:30 p.m. MT and will be seen on Cox Sports Television in Baton Rouge. LSU Sports Radio Network will have the call once again on 98.1 FM in Baton Rouge. Ryan Eades (5-2, 3.36 ERA) will take the mound for the Tigers. Eades was a Colorado Rockies draftee (19th round) in 2010.
