The Arizona Wildcats lead the South Carolina Gamecocks, 1-0, after five innings of play. That leaves four more innings until the Wildcats can lay claim to the 2012 College World Series championship. Arizona's James Farris has been equally impressive with all of his pitches on Monday night. He has surrendered just one hit in five shutout innings.
Arizona is looking for its first College World Series title since 1986 while South Carolina is looking for a threepeat. As of now, South Carolina is teetering on the brink of collapse.
