The Florida Gators and the Kent St. Golden Flashes play in the second elimination game of the 2012 College World Series. On Sunday afternoon, the Stony Brook Seawolves lost to the Florida St. Seminoles, 12-2, ending the underdog No. 4 regional seed's journey in Omaha.
The Golden Flashes are now the underdog to win the tournament, playing as a No. 3 regional seed and the lone Northern team in Omaha. But Kent St.'s start in Omaha began with a rough 8-1 loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas starter D.J. Baxendale allowed one hit to Kent St. in 6.1 innings. They'll face another tough starter in Florida's Hudson Randall (9-2, 2.61 ERA) on Monday afternoon.
Kent St.'s David Starn allowed five runs in Saturday's loss, and on Monday he will watch Ryan Bores (9-3, 3.35 ERA) pitch to save the Golden Flashes' season.
